Gorge at Watkins Glen

During this time, I also began to experiment with oil paint. This was by far the most time consuming painting I’ve completed to date. I painted this from a photograph I took during a family vacation to Watkins Glen, New York. It is a beautiful location with a hiking trail leading to countless small waterfalls. I was enamored with the beautiful visual pattern of the walls of the gorge.
